Furious 7: PHYSICS? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Physics!

Furious 7 - Ride The Bus

If you go into Furious 7 without expected the laws of physics to be ignored, you’re in the wrong theater. Aided by an incredibly gifted stunt choreographing team and CG that are invisible/seamless, you will see cars fly (sort of) her. You will also see a man suffering from ‘a shattered collarbone’ shrug off that injury is days and shatter a cast by flexing.

Yes, if you want amazing, incredible stunts, gunfights, street racing, street fights and maybe even a bit of nuance (more than a bit, actually), then you will want to see Furious 7.

Furious 7 Featurette: There’s Nothing Sadder Than Locking A Beast In Cage!

Lykan Hypersport

That ultra-sleek automobile we see Dominic Toretto driving in the trailer for Furious 7 is a Lykan Hypersport. It costs $3.4 million and there are only seven in the world.

Oh, and it goes from 0-to-60 in 3 seconds. It’s highlighted in the featurette that follows the jump. Check it out. Furious 7 opens on April 3rd.

Fast & Furious 6 – Big Loud Fun!

fast-and-furious-6

Fast Five was one of 2010’s most entertaining movies – and the best of the series to that point. It switched from underground racing to the heist genre with as smooth a move as any. Furious 6 movies into the realm of terrorism with almost as much panache, but sometimes going bigger isn’t always better – though 6 comes ridiculously close.

Heavy Metal Trailer: Fast & Furious 6!

Fast 6

You don’t often see the fifth film in a series – and it’s even less often the best film in the series, like Fast 5. The question is whether Fast & Furious 6 can match its immediate predecessor (certainly none of the movie’s key art has matched this early poster). Check out the final Fast 6 trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Battle Los Angeles Blows Up Real Good – And That’s All It Does!

902877 - Battle: Los Angeles

If all you want out of a movie is for gunplay, aliens and stuff getting blowed up real good, then Battle Los Angeles will work for you. If you’re looking for anything more – and I mean anything – then you’re S.O.L. [sorta outta luck].

DVD: Machete – They Just +&@!ed With The Wrong Mexican!

machete

For a movie that came about because of fan reaction to a faux trailer that part of the full package of Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse. The story – a Mexican federale named Machete and his partner attempt to rescue a kidnapping victim but it’s a trap, and the corrupt cop kills his wife and daughter. Three years later, in Texas – a corrupt politician’s equally corrupt top advisor hires Machete to shoot the politician but it’s a set-up and Machete is out for revenge – is typical B-movie fodder, but Rodriguez and Danny Trejo [as Machete] capture the extreme violence and savage wit of the best ‘60s and ‘70s exploitation flicks.

Battle: Los Angeles Trailer Better Than Entire Skyline Film!

With the launch of this weekend’s Skyline [okay cast, horrid script, brilliant CG effects – Final Grade: D] and wide open for Monsters [excellent cast, limited but brilliant CG effects: Final Grade: B+], we are at the beginning of a new wave of alien invasion movies. The first trailer for Battle: Los Angeles has just been released. It’s better than the entirety of Skyline! Battle: Los Angeles opens on March 3rd, 2011.

Enjoy!

Rodriguez Takes Mexploitation to the Next Level with Machete!

machete-MACHETE_TREJO_1sh_v5_rgb

If you love exploitation flicks, there’s a very good chance you’ll revel in Machete. It’s got an iconic hero, gunfights, fist fights, sword fights, missiles, Gatling guns, some very impressive lo-riders, evil villains, hot women and more blood guts and veins in one’s teeth than any movie in recent memory – at least one that wasn’t a pointless horror/slasher flick with no plot.
