The chase is on in The Runner a new reality series that’s executive produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. More than a million dollars is at stake in this series that combines puzzles and hunting.
From a field of competitors, one is chosen to be The Runner. By following a series of clues over 30 days, he seeks to finds the prize – but the other competitors are hunting him – and if whoever catches him takes the prize.

Pearl Street Films, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s production company will be producing the pilot for Incorporated. The potential Syfy series would follow executive Ben Larson, who must change his identity to infiltrate the cutthroat world of corporate culture to save the woman he loves.
The series was created by David and Alex Pastor (Selfless, The Last Days) who will also direct the pilot. For further details, follow the jump.
The idea of setting a film in a world where the 1% live on a giant space station and all of Earth is a third world country is a good one, but I think there might actually be too much action in it and the allegory might be a bit too on the nose. Still, even with too much action, it’s the smartest big-budget movie of the summer and quite possibly the one of the smartest of the year.
