Paul Reiser will make his return to a TV comedy series on Thursday, April 14, 2011. And as the promos state, it is airing 8:30 pm before Will Ferrell’s debut on ‘The Office’. But Reiser, the accomplished actor, writer and stand-up comedian, doesn’t really need to ride on any coattails. Something that can be attested to by all those who best remember him for the long-running (seven years) and critically acclaimed comedy series which he co-created and starred in along with Helen Hunt in the ‘90s titled “Mad About You.” This time around, in an odd fantasy-imitates-reality set-up, the new comedy series features Reiser who stars as – Paul Reiser – who ponders his next career move after the conclusion of his hit TV series. In the pilot episode Paul auditions for a game show produced by Mark Burnett and learns he is competing with Larry David for the job. Meanwhile, Paul’s pals go overboard while helping their kids with school projects.
