When ABC’s Battle of the Network Stars premieres on Thursday, June 29th (9/8C) it will carry on in the same cheerily cheesy manner as the original series in the ’70s & ’80s – opening round competition finds Team Sitcoms vs. TV Kids (pictured), for example.
One hundred TV stars past and present will participate – names like: Joey Lawrence, Gabriel Carteris, Keegan Allen and Jack Osbourne.
The teams will be coached by former MMA champiopn Ronda Rousey and Super Bowl champion DeMarcus Ware – with ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Joe Tessitore hosting, and Cassidy Hubbarth and Cari Champion reporting from the sidelines.
Acomplete list of competitors and their teams follows.
Disney XD has ordered a second season of its new take on the seven dwarfs, The 7D. The series follows the adventures of Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc as they help Queen Delightful keep her kingdom happy and prosperous in the face of efforts to the contrary by the ever-so-slightly inept would-be villains, Grim and Hildy Gloom.
The 7D cast includes Kelly Osbourne (Hildy), Jess Harnell (Grim), Leigh-Allyn Baker (Queen Delightful), Disney Legend Bill Farmer (Doc), Maurice LaMarche (Grumpy), Kevin Michael Richardson (Happy), Dee Bradley Baker (Dopey), Scott Menville (Sneezy), Stephen Stanton (Sleepy), Billy West (Bashful) and Paul Rugg (Lord Starchbottom). For more, follow the jump.
Kelly Osbourne is taking a shot a voice acting – she’s been cast as Hildy Gloom, a novice witch who plot to overthrow the kingdom ruled by Queen Delightful (Good Luck Charlie’s Leigh-Allyn Baker). The titular 7D are the familiar seven dwarves who help Queen D keep her kingdom in order.
This new take on the Seven Dwarves features a stellar cast, including Maurice LaMarche, Kevin Michael Richardson and Dee Bradley Baker. The plan is for 7D to air on three platforms – Disney XD, Disney Channel and Disney Junior – beginning this summer. For more details, check out the press release following the jump.
