Jerry O’Connell Enters Daily Talk Show Arenea with Jerry O!

Jerry O’Connell – who has played everything from superheroes (My Secret Identity) to WGN America’s TV cop-turned-detective, Harley Carter – is entering the daytime talk show arena.

Jerry O is the new entertainment talk & comedy show from Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury and Funny or Die.

It premieres on select FOX stations on August 12th.

WGN America Renews Canadian Detective Series Carter!

Carter revolves around Harley Carter, the star of a hit detective TV show, who decides he needs a break from Hollywood and returns to his northern hometown where he quickly discovers that his years of playing a fictional detective come in handy when he finds himself immersed in real-life mysteries.

A second season of the comedic procedural has been ordered by WGN America and Canada’s CTV. Season two details follow.

The Defenders: Thank You For Flying Tawnee!

The Defenders [CBS, Wednesdays, 10/9C] turns out not to be a re-imagining of a 1961 legal series about a couple of lawyers who didn’t always win [which was groundbreaking stuff in 1961]. Instead, it’s a fictionalization of a couple of Vegas lawyers with a reputation for trying anything to win, and partying like it’s 1999 when they’re not actively working.
