Once you’ve seen Furious 7 opening day (you know you’re going to…) get more crazy car action by turning to El Rey’s Carmageddon Marathon on Saturday.
Beginning at 10am/9C, El Rey is rolling down the highway with five classic car-driven films – Steven Spielberg’s Duel, a double hit of Mad Max – The Road Warrior and Mad Max:Beyond Thunderdome, Fast Company and Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver.

The second season of El Rey’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series just keeps getting more and more interesting – the network announced today that Jeff Fahey (Lost, Justified, tons of other cool stuff) has joined the cast. He will play Uncle Eddie Cruikshank – the man who raised the Gecko Brothers after their father died in a fire.
Season Two of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is currently in production and set to return in late summer. follow the jump for further details.
Esai Morales has joined the second season cast of El Rey’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series in a recurring role. He will play Lord Amancio Malvado, a powerful figure who has a unique relationship with Santánico Pandemonium (Eiza González).
El Rey is trying something a little bit different with its new series, Cutting Crew. Beginning at 6am (5C) on Saturday, April 11th, the network is marathoning all eight episodes of season one of the new unscripted series about the artistry of a unique group of barbers at Pittsburgh’s The Cutting Crew.
Following the 24-hour cycling of Cutting Crew, the show will then roll out with encore showings on a weekly basis beginning on Wednesday, April 15th (9/8C) following the network’s successful Lucha Underground series. For further details, follow the jump.

Fear not! El Rey has got you covered with Scream-A-Thon Saturday, March 7th) and Kung Fu Lady Marathon (Sunday, March 8th).
Saturday’s Scream-A-Thon begins at 12:30pm (11:30C) and includes seven movies including Inferno, Zombie and Deathdream. Sunday’s Lady Kung Fu kicks off at 6am (5C) and cycles through four movies with strong female protagonists – including Lady with a Sword and The Lady Assassin.

On Monday, March 2 (8/7C), Robert Rodriguez will be hosting Coppola on El Rey Netowrk Presents: The Director’s Chair – following which, the network will air Coppola’s The Conversation. Details follow the jump.
Beginning Friday, January 9th, El Rey will be marathoning the action sci-fi series Dark Angel, starring Jessica Alba.
Created by James Cameron – and starring Alba in her lead role – Dark Angel is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the genetically-enhanced Max Guevara (Alba) struggles to survive as government agents try to capture her and others like her for nefarious purposes.
El Rey plans to air all 43 of the series’ episodes. Alba and El Rey creator Robert Rodriguez will provide introductions. For details, follow the jump.
El Rey is running a Kaiju Christmas Marathon for monster movie fans – 48 hours of Japanese kaiju movies featuring iconic kaiju – Godzilla, Ghidorah, Rodan, Monster Zero and Mothra.
The marathon opens with Gojira, the first Godzilla movie, on December 24th (6/5C) and cycles through ten classic kaiju movies including Rodan, Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster, Godzilla vs. Monster Zero and Terror of Mechagodzilla. The marathon concludes on December 27th with an encore of Godzilla vs. Biollante (3:30am/2:30C). For the full schedule, follow the jump.
One of the most entertaining shows of the summer, Matador is a fast-paced spy series centered on Tony Bravo, a up & coming star in pro soccer – who happens to be an undercover agent for the CIA. The series features smart, fast-paced action, global conspiracies, heart-warming family moments and even a bit of soccer.
