Placing Neil Gaiman’s former Prince of Hell in a Los Angeles-set procedural has proven to be a winning formula. Lucifer has been renewed by FOX for a third season.
Currently just finished its Fall run, Lucifer fans are the getting the good news with the May 1st Spring Premiere just over two-and-a-half months away – with the egocentric (but slowly growing up) fallen angel/Prince of Hell having gone off the grid following his partner, Detective Chloe Decker’s brush with death.
Following hard on the heels of yesterday’s release of the first poster for Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. brought the first trailer for the film to the Con today.
The trailer shows Princess Diana discovering Steve Trevor washed up on the shores of Themiscyra and quick moves through her arrival in Man’s World and its levels (poor fishing village, glittering party) before finding herself in the middle of WWI.
It looks amazing! See for yourselves – it unfolds just after the break.
Alan Moore’s genuinely creepy/scary graphic novel, Batman: The Killing Joke, is one of the most devastating Batman/Joker tales ever told. In truth, the only way to adapt it for film or home video, is to accept that it’s a nasty piece of work and not try to soften it in any way.
Batman: The Killing Joke is WB Animation’s first R-rated movie, so it looks like they’ve done it right. Check out the deeply disturbing trailer after the jump.
The first Suicide Squad trailer proclaimed ‘this is a film!’ The second suggested, ‘This is Film – but with these characters it will be fun!’
The new trailer focuses completely on the fun part of that equation with Harley leading the way and Deadshot getting a pretty great moment, too – set to Sweet’s Ballroom Blitz. The whole ‘Worst. Heroes. Ever.’ thing still applies…
Check it out after the break. Suicide Squad opens on August 5th.
This morning at WonderCon, DC Entertainment co-publishers DanDiDio and Jim Lee and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns introduced the next step in the evolution of DC Comics – along with a host of writers and artists.
The event was carried live online and you can check out the whole event following the jump (it was recorded live so jump right to the 30 minute mark and avoid the half hour of blue curtain…).
During Super Bowl 50, Warner Bros. aired two spots that give a PR spin on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with ads for Turkish Airlines adding two new destinations to its schedule – Gotham City (with billionaire Bruce Wayne talking up Gotham) and Metropolis (with billionaire Lex Luthor inviting tourists to visit).
