This Friday May 6th, the hit action series Supernatural comes one episode closer to the rocking finale of Season 6. According to the CW, all hell is going to break loose (yet again) in S6.20 The Man Who Would Be King. In the episode directed by Ben Edlund, who also co-wrote it with Eric Kripke, Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) about the war in Heaven and how he and Raphael ( Demore Barnes) became enemies.
In the last few episodes of the action packed 6th season of Supernatural, viewers and fans of the long running series have seen the Angel Castiel becoming not so angelic as his battle with Raphael reaches the level of desperate measures. In The Man Who Would Be King, Bobby believes Castiel is hiding something, but Dean refuses to believe it. The Winchesters are also dealing with the returned threat of the Demon Crowley ( Mark A. Sheppard) whom it seems Castiel is in league with behind their backs.
The Man Who Would Be King airs on the CW Network this Friday at 9 PM EST right after the last episode of Smallville before it reaches its two-hour series finale next week.

Are Sam and Dean Winchester playing ‘statue’ or getting ready to race each other to the all you can eat Fish Fry!
Neither actually, but it’s fun to imagine what is happening in photos right! Supernatural, which stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as the monster hunting- demon fighting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, is doing very well on Friday nights much to the relief of fans and viewers. Especially those who had a bad feeling about moving the hit CW Network action series from its standard Thursday night timeslot. The series is doing so well in fact, that TV By The Numbers has it listed in their ‘probable for renewal’ column and says they feel that the CW Network would be nuts not to renew Supernatural for a seventh season.
It wasn’t just the switch to Friday nights that had both fans and viewers wondering how well the long running action series would do. The majority were wondering, with good reason, about where the writers and the new show runner Sera Gamble was going to go with storylines after dealing with something as big as the apocalyptic battle between heaven and hell that was culmination of 5 years of story arc for Sam and Dean. Gamble and the writers decided it was time to go back to the roots of season one and two of Supernatural when it was more about monsters. From there, they are building their storylines out and making them fresh by adding in new twists and turns. So far, as a long time viewer of Supernatural, I am liking the storylines over all and am enjoying the new twists they are adding in with the introduction of ‘Alphas’ and with the civil wars going on both in heaven and hell. I like the interactions between the brothers and the new tensions and intrigues going on with them.
However, the characters and the storylines aren’t the only things involved with Supernatural that are going in new directions based on familiar territory. Last Friday night at 9PM 2.844 million viewers tuned into watch S6.04 Weekend At Bobby’s and the Directorial debut of Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Fans and Viewers alike, Supernatural Season 5 has now reached the top of the last hill. Now the season finale, Swan Song is poised to take the wildest plummet into excitement yet as Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) gets ready to take on Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino). Of course Sam has some pretty heavy hitters on his side including his brother Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins) who may yet have one more spark of angel mojo left in him and veteran hunter Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver).
Supernatural S5.22, Swan Song airs this Thursday May 13th at 9 PM EST and according to series Creator Eric Kripke is the culmination of his 5 year story arc. An arc that began back in the pilot episode of season one when Sam reluctantly agreed to reunite with his older brother Dean for a few days to find their missing father, John Winchester (as played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan). A few days turned into a permanent reunion as Sam returned to his college apartment to find that his live in love Jessica (Adrienne Palicki) had been killed in the same manner as Sam and Dean’s mother Mary Winchester(as played by Samantha Smith) had been killed when they were children. Dean and Sam’s fate are set in motion again by these events that lead them on the road in their black ’67 Chevy Impala to ‘hunting things, saving people: the family business”.
Eric Kripke promises that this storyline, which has taken a lot of twists and turns filled with psychic children, angels and demons will be tied up and finished in S5.22 Swan Song and Supernatural will have a whole new story for the upcoming season six. So while we wait for Swan Song to air this Thursday, let’s take a look at some sneak peek artwork and vids provided by the good folks at The CW Network & Warner Bros Television.

“Two Minutes to Midnight” – Bobby (Jim Beaver) sells his soul to help stop the Apocalypse and Dean (Jensen Ackles) goes head-to-head with Death.
That short blurb made it all sound so exciting as Supernatural season 5 came down to one of it’s two last episodes, S5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight. The airing of the episode left this viewer wondering what the heck happened to all the excitement you usually get when the storyline revolves around the coming of a possible apocalypse of Biblical proclamations. Lucifer is loose on the world, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse are set up to be a major ‘big bad’ to over come and Supernatural season 5 started out full steam into that potential. Yet to this viewer what started out like a scary ride on a rocket, seems to be ending up like a tame ride on the merry-go-round.

First off, don’t miss Misha Collins live on twitter tonight at 9pm EST. He will be checking in with the fans Misha Collins-style while the show airs on the east coast. If you haven’t read any of Misha’s tweets, you definitely don’t want to miss out tonight.
Supernatural is coming down to the wire for the 5th season’s apocalyptic storyline, so I was wondering why S5.20, The Devil You Know was such a slow moving episode it was almost standing still. About the only analogy I can come up with is that it is like the part in the roller coaster ride where you make that slow, ratcheting climb to the top of first hill the ride is about to go whizzing down. I sure hope that S5.21 and S5.22 have that kind of excitement to them cause the last episode was sort of boring. But only sort of—this is Supernatural after all so it did take some interesting twists while it was ratcheting up that hill.
In Supernatural S5.20 Castiel (Misha Collins) hadn’t back from out of nowhere yet, but the dapper, smooth talking demon Crowley (Mark Sheppard) had. And he is back with self-absorbed plans to use the Winchester brother’s battle to defeat Lucifer for his own personal gain. With Crowley back for S5.20 and tonight’s episode 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight and seeing how well he fits in and suits the storyline, it got me to thinking about something I’d like to share.

I might be mistaken, but I think that the CW Network/Warner Bros might be just a tad bit excited about the airing of hit series Supernatural’s 100th episode tonight (4.15.10) at 9PM EST. Ok so they might be a lot excited about it and with good reason too!
Supernatural, which stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as Sam and Dean Winchester — two monster hunting, ghost vanquishing, demon fighting brothers who roam the back roads USA back roads with a trunk load of weapons in the black ’67 Chevy Impala — has, with the help of its loyal viewing audience and fans, continued to defeat the dreaded ratings monster for 5 straight seasons and 100 episodes.
