One of the most pleasant surprises of the 2011-2012 TV season was NBC’s Grimm, a series that features Detective Nick Burkhardt, a cop who has just discovered he can see something no one else can – the monsters/creatures that hide in plain sight as regular people. He is a Grimm, keeper of the balance between humanity and creatures of myth and legend. Which is to say that Grimm’s Fairy Tales weren’t stories – they were history!
The series, created by David Greenwalt (Angel), Jim Kouf (Angel, Ghost Whisperer) and Stephen Carpenter (Soul Survivors, The Kindred), is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on August 7th, 2012.

It’s great news to hear that my favorite primetime show’s going to be released on DVD. I know that I can rent it using my Blockbuster@Home once it’s available. I get all my movies delivered right to my door. This and the fact that I’m able to watch all my primetime shows commercial free with the new Auto Hop feature. I think the Auto Hop is great that has come along for all of us who already fast forward commercials. This just makes it easier by doing all the work for you. Now I’m now going to be able to save some money on batteries because I no longer need to skip ahead every ten minutes. I’m glad my coworker from Dish told me about this great new feature, it gives me the option to choose to skip the commercials or not. The Hopper just keeps getting better and better.
