Noah Hawley – the writer who created FX’s Fargo – is writing the pilot for Legion, a series that center on the son of the X-Men’s Professor X’s son, Daniel Haller.
Haller has always been plagued by voices in his head and, indeed, was diagnosed as schizophrenic. After a strange encounter with another patient, he begins to think that maybe the voices in his head are real.
Legion is an FX Productions co-production with Marvel Television. Hawley will also serve as an executive on the pilot along with Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Wolverine), Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Superman Returns), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Martain), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s Daredevil), Jim Chory (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s Daredevil) and John Cameron (Fargo, The Big Lebowski).
