Well, it only took nine years for IDOL to get hip to social networking. In the past seasons, contestants were contractually obligated to shut down their Facebook and MySpace pages, but this year, the producers have had a change of heart. Not only will the contestants have approved (and I am pretty sure monitored) Facebook and MySpace pages, they will also have Twitter feeds.
