HBO Max has announced that films from acclaimed Japanese studio Studio Ghibli will premiere on the streaming serving on May 27th. This be the first time films like My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke or Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind will be run on a streaming service.
Beginning on December 17th, GKIDS will make the full library Studio Ghibli titles – including classics like Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke – available on digital download-to-own in the United States and Canada. All titles will be available in both English and Japanese languages.

GKIDS has acquired the home entertainment rights for the Studio Ghibli catalog – including such classic titles as Princess Mononke and Spirited Away.
