In Netflix’s reimagnining of the Shirley Jackson classic, The House on Haunted Hill,The Haunting of Hill House explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country.

Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past.

The Haunting of Hill House stars Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton and Michiel Huisman. It premieres globally on Netflix on October 12th.

We’ve seen more than a few movies about single parents trying to give a gifted child a normal life. Some have been brilliant; others have been awful.
