Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker and Emmy Award and Golden Globe Winner Alfre Woodard guest-star in tonight’s new episode (8/7C).
Patti LaBelle and Brandy Norwood are joining the cast of FOX’s Star for multi-episode arcs beginning this spring. LaBelle will play Carlotta Brown’s (Queen Latifah) tough but loving mother, Christine; and Norwood will play Carlotta’s younger sister, Cassie.
FOX has ordered an additional five episodes for its music drama, Star (Wednesdays, 9/8C) – raising the season total to 18.
Oscar®-winning actor Forest Whitaker is joining the cast of Empire for a multi-episode arc during the show’s fourth season.
Whitaker will play “Uncle Eddie,” a charismatic music icon and bonafide hitmaker, who gave an unknown Lucious his first radio airplay.
Empire returns on Wednesday, September 27th (8/7C).

With the success of Empire boosting FOX’s profile, the network has gone to that series’ co-creator, Lee Daniels for a drama pilot called Star.
Star is the story of three young women who hope to make it big in the cutthroat world of music – and asks the question, ‘what will you do to reach the top?’
The pilot is the first to come from Daniels’ multi-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. Casting will begin soon. For more, follow the jump.
The seventh annual Produced By Conference presented by the Producer’s Guild of America (PGA) occurred May 30-31, 2015, and was hosted by Paramount Pictures in Hollywood.
