Jennifer Hudson Joins The Voice As Coach!

Oscar, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will join Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as a coach on season 13 of NBC’s three-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice.”

Hudson was a coach on the U.K. version of The Voice earlier this year – where she was the winning coach.

Hudson & Fierstein Join Hairspray Live!

Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG and Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson and multiple Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein will headline the cast of NBC’s Hairspray Live!

Fierstein will reprise the role of Edna Turnblad – the role he originated on Broadway to Tony Award-winning acclaim, and is writing the teleplay for the event.

Hudson, the third season winner on American Idol – and Oscar® and Golden Globe® winner for Dreamgirls – will star as Motormouth Maybelle. Follow the jump for details.

Jennifer Hudson to release new album March 22nd

March 22nd, 2011 marks a special day for recording artist Jennifer Hudson. It is the release date of her second upcoming album entitled “I Remember Me” on the Arista label. Her first single is called “Where You At” which was written and produced by R.Kelly was released on January 24th, 2011. Where You At has been gaining attention since its release date but has also gained more attention when Jennifer Hudson had performed her first single on The Oprah Show and The Ellen DeGeneres in February.

INTERVIEW: Jennifer Hudson Chats About Her Oscar and “The Secret Life of Bees”

Jennifer Hudson is an Oscar winning actress with the voice of a true diva. This American Idol cast-off’s career  has taken off over the past few years to great heights. In her latest venture, Hudson co-stars in the upcoming film “The Secret Life of Bees” where she plays the part of Rosaleen, a young black woman living on a peach farm in the south during the volatile sixties hired to care for Lily Owens; a young white girl with an abusive father whose mother died tragically when she was a child. Rosaleen is Lily’s surrogate mother and dearest friend and when the two take the monumental yet dangerous step of trying to register Rosaleen to vote, they find themselves in a world of trouble and are forced to go on the run.

I sat down with Jennifer to chat about her role as Rosaleen and how it has impacted her life today as a young, successful African American woman; where she keeps her Oscar and I even got a peek at her gorgeous engagement ring…its ginormous!
