BOOM! Studios Sets Out On The Road To San Diego with Joss Whedon’s Firefly!

Every year, BOOM! Studios sets out on the road to San Diego with a ten-day series of announcements – anything from hot new releases to one of their titles being optioned for TV or movies.

This year, BOOM! Studios begins its ten day journey by introducing Joss Whedon’s Firefly Comics – new monthly series, limited series, original graphic novels and more; created in partnership with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products.

First up, in November, a series that takes us back to the Unification War – and the story of Mal and Zoe met.

Comic Con International 2018 will take place July 19th–22nd at the San Diego Convention Center, in San Diego, CA.

Star Trek: Discovery to Beam Into Comic-Con!

Star Trek: Discovery will have a notable presence at Comic-Con International 2018 – several cast members (including Captain Christopher Pike/Anson Mount) will appear at the Star Trek: Discovery panel, moderated by Tig Notaro (who will guest on the show) on Friday.

A Mirror Universe exhibit will run from Thursday, July 19th to Sunday, July 22nd – and fans will be able to ride around San Diego’s Gaslight district in Star Trek: Discovery-themed pedicabs.

CONAN Announces Guests for Comic-Con International 2018!

The casts of Breaking Bad, The Predator, Glass and Aquaman will be among Conan O’Brien’s guests when CONAN goes to San Diego for the fourth straight year for Comic-Con International 2018.

Comic Con International 2018 will take place July 19th–22nd at the San Diego Convention Center, in San Diego, CA.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes To Have World Premiere at Anime Expo 2018!

Funimation Films and Toho have announced that the film My Hero Academia: Two Heroes will have its world premiere at Anime Expo 2018 – following which, Funimation will set a full release for the film in the fall.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes will screen on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 12:30 pm (90-minute runtime) in Main Event Hall B of the Los Angeles Convention Center. A celebrity guest panel will follow the screening. Details follow.

Anime Expo 2018 will be held on  July 04-08 at Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, United States of America.

VIZ Media Welcomes My Hero Academia Creator to Comic-Con 2018!

My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi will make his first North American professional appearance at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2018

Horikoshi will appear on two panels for VIZ Media – the official My Hero Academia panel and the Weekly Shonen Jump panel – as well as a pair of Autograph sessions.

Comic-Con International takes place July 18th–22nd at the San Diego Convention Center, in San Diego, CA.

Stan Sakai Wins Inaugural Joe Kubert Distinguished Storyteller Award!

Usagi Yojimbo creator/writer/artist Stan Sakai has won the Inaugural Joe Kubert Distinguished Storyteller Award.

The announcement was made Saturday, May 19th at the second annual Comic Con Revolution in Ontario, California.

The award is given by The Joe Kubert School and Atomic Crush Events to outstanding comics creators for their work and commitment to the comics industry.

Henry Danger Stars To Appear at Comic Con Revolution!

The stars of Nickelodeon’s hit series Henry Danger will make their first appearance together at Comic Con Revolution on Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 pm.

Jace Norman, Cooper Barnes and Tommy Walker will be sitting down for a discussion and Q&A with fans – and will explore favorite episodes, moments, adventures and answer questions from fans during their panel, “Danger Is My Middle Name.”

Dates Announced for the 2nd Annual Split Screens Festival!

For the Split Screen Festival, a major focus in 2018 will be diversity – from platforms and voices to genders and races both in front of and behind the scenes; as well as thoughtful perspectives and insights about America’s favorite pastime from some of television’s most popular casts and creators.

Split Screens will offer a snapshot of the landscape, where television is today and where it is heading with premiere episodes of highly anticipated new pilots, a refreshing look back at culturally relevant franchises and explore the future of content through the lens of a new generation of rising talent.

The 2018 Split Screens Festival will take place at New York’s IFC Center from Thursday, May 31 through Sunday, June 3. The Festival’s full lineup will be announced in April.
