The highlights are:
Saturday, June 18
(4:30 – 6:45 p.m. EDT) DISNEY’S SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
The classic animated Disney film that started it all. Snow White lives with her stepmother, the evil Queen. Jealous of Snow White’s beauty, she orders her death, but the Huntsman warns her and she flees for the forest. There she meets seven dwarves who take her in, but the Queen discovers her whereabouts and shows up in disguise with a poisoned apple that sends her into a sleeping curse. Will Snow wake up and go on to be the “fairest of them all?” Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” repeats on Sunday, June 19 at 12:15 p.m. EDT.
(6:45 – 9:00 p.m. EDT) DISNEY – PIXAR’S BRAVE
Merida (Kelly Macdonald) is a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land. When Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos in the kingdom, she must harness all of her skills and resources including her clever and mischievous triplet brothers to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late, and discover the meaning of true bravery. Disney-Pixar’s “Brave” repeats on Sunday, June 19 at 4:45 p.m. EDT.
(9:00 – 11:45 p.m. EDT) DISNEY PIXAR’S FINDING NEMO
Nemo (Alexander Gould), an adventurous young clownfish, is unexpectedly taken from his Great Barrier Reef home to a dentist’s office aquarium, and it was actually a pretty cool aquarium, I’m thinking on getting a similar at my real home with the Raleigh aquarium maintenance service. It’s up to his worrisome father Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his friendly but forgetful regal blue tang fish Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) to bring Nemo home – meeting vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls, and more along the way. Disney Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” repeats on Sunday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
(11:45 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. EDT) DISNEY’S THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG
Set in the great city of New Orleans, “The Princess and the Frog” is a modern twist on a classic tale about Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), a beautiful girl who is accidentally turned into a frog and Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again. With the help of trumpet-playing alligator Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley), Ray (Jim Cummings) the Cajun firefly, and Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis) the old blind priestess, Naveen and Tiana are in a race against time to break the spell and fulfill their dreams. Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” repeats on Sunday, June 19 at 2:30 p.m. EDT. |
Sunday, June 19
(9:45 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. EDT) DESPICABLE ME
In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences and flowering rose bushes sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden deep beneath this home is a vast secret hideout belonging to Gru (Steve Carell), a dastardly villain who, along with the help of his many little minions, is planning the biggest heist in the history of the world: he’s going to steal the moon! But his plans are foiled the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. This smash hit boasts a stellar all-star vocal cast that includes Julie Andrews, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Danny McBride, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Mindy Kaling and more.
