ORLANDO (August 2007) – The indie feature Second Coming directed by Jose Cassella (Delivery) has concluded post-production with a team that included L.A.-based editor Mike Matzdorff whose credits include Fight Club, Analyze This, Meet Joe Black, Code Name: The Cleaner.
Composer, Angelo Milli, completed the powerful score, presented in 5.1 Dolby surround sound. His credits include La Mujer de mi hermano, Secuestro Express and Santanas.
Executive Producer Jose David Yacaman also employed industry vet Valek Sykes and Tech-Works Studios for special effects make-up. Credits include, Spiderman 2, War of the Worlds, Minority Report, The Cat in the Hat, Garfield and the highly anticipated film “I Am Legend” starring Will Smith. Second Coming is the story of identical twin sisters who have a special psychic bond. When one of them is murdered, she begins sending chilling visions from the grave to help her twin sister find her body and the killer. . The film takes the viewer on a journey, as the lead character assumes her dead sister’s identity.
“We wanted to make a thriller with several layers to it…multiple storylines happening simultaneously”, said Director Jose Cassella, KSFilms, whose horror feature Delivery won Best Picture and Best Actor, SCREAMFEST, 2006 and was released by Warner Brothers. Cassella specifically chose exotic Florida backgrounds that provided the right character and mood, including historic Weeki Wachee Springs (Mr. Peabody and The Mermaid, Neptune’s Daughter, SeaQuest). Also selected was the hauntingly beautiful Blue Spring State Park and other unique locations near Orlando. Jose Cassella has over 17 years experience as a Director of Photography and Digital Cinematographer in commercials, music videos and feature films.
The film stars Juliet Reeves (Automation Transfusion, All Wrapped Up, Zombies! Zombies! Zombies!, CSI: Miami) and Greg Thompson (3: The Dale Earnhardt Story, Crystal River, One Tree Hill, Dawson’s Creek, Jack O’Lantern), and Annie Maleski (Surface) .
The production company collaborated with the Full Sail School of Film to give their students the opportunity to gain “on-set” experience. Jose David Yacaman, of Yacaman Productions added, “We were able to provide students with real world, hands-on experience that is priceless.
