Television: Sneak Peek at Supernatural 5.09 The Real Ghostbusters
November 11th, 2009 · Posted by: M R Reed in Television
Last week in Supernatural 5.08 Changing Channels, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (the recently engaged Jensen Ackles) found themselves tossed into TVland by their old nemesis The Trickster (Richard Speight Jr.). Being the nasty prankster that he is, The Trickster (who was revealed to actually be the arch angel Gabriel) threw the Winchester brothers into a procedural cop show and made them play the roles of sunglass wearing CSI type detectives. Dean makes it clear he hates wearing sunglasses at night and he really hates procedural cop shows!
Well this week you can bet the Winchester boys are wishing they were back in TVland or at the most had their sunglasses to hide behind as they get tricked by Sam’s obsessed fan Becky into attending a Supernatural convention and of course this episode is airing right before Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, along with Jim Beaver, Traci Dinwiddie and other past guest stars are set to appear in Chicago IL at the Creation Convention Salute to Supernatural.
“The Real Ghostbusters” IT’S A SUPERNATURAL CONVENTION! — Super fan Becky (guest star Emily Perkins) uses Chuck’s (guest star Rob Benedict) phone to trick Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) into attending a Supernatural fan convention, complete with fans dressed up as Sam and Dean. One of the activities is a live action role playing game, but things quickly turn sour after a real ghost appears on the scene. Jim Conway directed the episode with teleplay by Eric Kripke and story by Nancy Weiner
The Real Ghostbusters airs this Thursday at 9PM EST on the CW Network right after a new episode of The Vampire Diaries.
