The fourteenth issue of BOOM! Studios’ hit comic WWE will the beginning of two important arcs – the Women’s Evolution arc and a four part chronicle of the rise of Japanese wrestling star Asuka, from her days at NXT to her current prominence with WWE RAW.
Written by Tini Howard and illustrated by Hyeonjin Kim, WWE #14 will be in comics shops and the BOOM! Studios webstore in February, 2018.
WWE Superstar Samoa Joe makes his comics debut in WWE #13 – where he teams up with writer Michael Kingston and artist Michel Mulipola to tell the behind the scenes story of how he first joined Monday Night RAW.
Covers will be created by Dan Mora (main), with variant covers by Adam Riches, Brent Schoonover and Adam X Vass
Becky Savage will be signing copies of BOOM!Studios’WWE: SummerSlam 2017 Special and WWE Vol. 1: Redesign. Rebuild. Reclaim. graphic novel at the TriBeca Barnes & Noble on Wednesday, August 16th.
USA Network will kick off the holidays beginning Monday, December 12, with WWE HOLIDAY WEEK. In addition to regularly scheduled live WWE events, USA will feature movies starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the 14th annual WWE’S TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS – a special that honors our servicemen and women and celebrates their dedication and commitment to our country.
BOOM! Studios’ Road To New York Comic-Con 2016 continues with the announcement of an ongoing WWE comic book series to launch in January, 2017. Details follow the break.
As part of the lead in to Comic-Con International, BOOM! Studios has announced a new partnership with WWE for new comics.
First up will be an exclusive Comic-Con bagged set of six one-page comics – WWE: Then. Now. Forever. – featuring pin-ups of six wrestlers and their backgrounds and histories in the ring.

I had a chance to catch a stripped down WWE event at The Patriot Center a few weeks ago with my Bro and it was a blast. Now the big mamma jamma is coming. WWE’s march towards Wrestlemania hits DC’s Verizon Center, March 31st. This is the last Monday Night Raw before the year’s biggest wrestling event so you know stuff is going to go down! Witness the return of Washington’s own six-time World Champion “The Animal” Batista at Monday Night RAW presented by WWE.
You know one of my newest celebrity “friends,” is former WWE Superstar Adam “Edge” Copeland. Shared drinks and interviewed him several times. Considering he’s always played the heel, he is one of the nicest guys in the world, but he never let me forget that I went completely mental on him the first time I met him. In my defense I wasn’t expecting to see him and his farewell speech on RAW the week before made me cry. Now I’m like all “hey, ‘sup?” What does this story have to do with anything? Nothing, just bragging. Anyhoo, WWE comes back (say it like The Rock) to the Patriot Center, January 5th for a 5:00 pm show.
USA Network unveils its new Monday night programming block with the premiere of WWE TOUGH ENOUGH on Monday, April 4th at 11:05/10:05c immediately following RAW. Hosted by WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, with joined by trainers and WWE superstars Trish Stratus, Booker T and Bill Demott, WWE TOUGH ENOUGH will feature a group of twelve individuals looking for an once-in-a-lifetime shot to become the next WWE Superstar or Diva, the grand-prize winner will be awarded a contract with WWE, joining its roster of talent.
WWE TOUGH ENOUGH will premiere at 11:05/10:05c immediately following WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW and then will move into its regularly scheduled timeslot, Mondays at 8/7c, starting on Monday, April 11.
