My War Horse journey is now complete. It started at the world premiere, then award season and now Joey the horse comes to Blu-ray in a 4 disc combo set. This movie holds up remarkably well and gets better with each successive viewing. I can’t say that about most movies.
Steven Spielberg’s War Horse will be in theaters on Christmas Day. He talks about the film following the jump.

War Horse Cast at NYC Premiere, December 4, 2011
So after 10 years of saying no and avoiding the craziness that is a major Hollywood premiere, your fearless leader took to the Red Carpet at NYC’s famed Lincoln Center for the World Premiere of Stephen Spielberg’s War Horse. The folks at Dreamworks put on a nice, calm, organized event. Spielberg seemed to be in a very playful mood and was shaking everyone’s hand and jumping in on cast interviews. Unfortunately, by the time he got to our side of the carpet he was ushered away before we got a chance to ask him questions. Dreamworks put on a very nice after party I was tried hunting down Law and Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay and Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick. The event was a bit frustrating because no one really came down to our side of the Carpet, so we didn’t get much of a chance to talk to anyone. Video from the Event will go up a bit later tonight.
