The Finder returns tonight [Fox, 8/7C] with Life After Death, an episode about stolen lost tracks by a promising rapper who was murdered before that promise could be fulfilled.
Fans of Fox series – like Bones, Fringe and New Girl – might want to mark their calendars. Fox announced the season finales for thirteen of their sixteen series – and the series finale for House, today.

FOX’s The Finder [Thursdays, 9/8C] premieres this evening and, though cast changes have clearly resulted in a bit of unevenness, the series first episode, an Orphan Walks Into A Bar, has the kind of mix of breeziness and dark undercurrents that have its parent series, Bones, a hit.
Tomorrow evening the Bones spinoff, The Finder [FOX, Thursdays, 9/8C], makes its debut. Last week, I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call with series creator Hart Hanson and star Geoff Stults – who plays Walter, the titular finder of stuff both wanted and not so much [he always wants his clients that the process of finding someone/something might lead to learned something best not learned in the first place].
FOX’s mid-season schedule is out and Fringe fans everywhere will be relieved – as will fans of the once-canceled Breaking In. Both shows are present on the new schedule – which included some big names in new dramas, too.
J.J. Abrams’ Alcatraz will have its two-hour premiere on January 16th and will then move to its regular timeslot following House. Tim Kring’s Touch will take over the post-House slot March 19th. Bones spinoff The Finder debuts on January 12th, following an encore episode of of its parent series.
Animated series Napoleon Dynamite joins FOX’s Sunday Animation Domination on January 15th.
