SHOWTIME HONORED WITH SEVEN NAACP IMAGE AWARDS NOMINATIONS – FIVE FOR THE CHI!

Showtime has been honored with seven nominations for the 2019 NAACP Image Awards – including five for its hit series The Chi.

The Chi’s creator and executive producer Lena Waithe earned a solo NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series and shared in another with Dime Davis.

2015 Golden Globes: The Morning After The Night Before!

No one network or film dominated the 2015 Golden Globes last night, but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler went out on top with a satisfying mix of soft, hard and curveball pitches – and yes, their Cosby jokes landed pretty hard. Somehow, they managed to sting as hard as Ricky Gervais – without using his scattergun approach. The result was that their digs landed well and generally caught the audience off guard.

But the Golden Globes is about the drinking the awards, so let’s take a look at them.

Steamy Trailer: Showtime’s The Affair!

Showtime’s The Affair sure looks like a steamy thriller. The new drama explores the emotional and psychological effects of an extramarital affair – told from both the male and female points of view.

The cast is amazing – Dominic West (The Wire), Maura Tierny (ER), Joshua Jackson (Fringe) and Ruth Wilson (Luther) – and the the concept is fascinating. The trailer is, as advertised, steamy. Check it out after the jump. The Affair premieres on Sunday, October 10th.

Showtime Adds One Drama and One Comedy!

Showtime has added one-hour drama The Affair and comedy series Happyish to its lineup.

The Affair stars Dominic West (The Wire), Ruth Wilson (Luther), Maura Tierney (ER) and Joshua Jackson (Fringe) in a tale that explores ‘two marriages and the affair that disrupts them.’ Happyish – starring Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote), Kathryn Hahn (Revolutionary Road, Chozen) and Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man, Elementary) – revolves around a man in his early forties who finds himself in a job where his bosses and colleagues are half his age.
