Following the announcement that Dane cook had won the lead role in Disney’s Planes, comes the announcement of the movie’s entire cast – a mix of familiar (Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, and Teri Hatcher) with unfamiliar (Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra and Oliver Kalkofe).
The film, about a young airplane named Dusty whose dream is to become a high-flying racer – despite his fear of heights, is scheduled for an August 9th release date. Follow the jump for a complete list of the cast and the characters they will be voicing.

Lights Out [Tuesdays, 10/9C] is the latest example of how FX lives up to their motto, ‘There is no box.’ It’s a series about a former heavyweight boxing champion, Patrick ‘Lights’ Leary, who has a great life – happy family, beautiful, intelligent wife – until his brother’s wonky investment strategies result in their going broke. Now he must find a way to avoid losing the lifestyle he’s worked so hard to provide.
On Monday, I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call with Lights Out’s showrunner, Warren Leight, and star, Holt McCallany. The conversation covered the ways in which the series attempts to avoid the worst clichés of the genre and emphasis on Lights and his family. It was one of the more thoughtful interview situations I’ve been a part of.

FX’s new series, Lights Out [Tuesdays, 10/9C], is a terrific series that avoids most of the big clichés that abound in boxing movies mostly because it focuses on a retired heavyweight champion who actually seems perfectly happy in his post-boxing life – until that life comes crashing down around his ears.
