FOX has ordered a fifteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens, and Host Cat Deeley return and auditions will be held in New York and Los Angeles for dancers between 18-30.
SYTYCD will premiere this summer.

FOX has ordered a 14th season of So You Think You Dance – and like last season, there’s an age wrinkle.
For season 14, all dancers must be between the ages of 18-30 – they must be no younger than 18, nor older than 30, as of their first day of auditions. Auditions will be held in New York and Los Angeles.

Beginning tonight, fans who disagree with the judges’ decision will be allowed to save one stage dancer and one street dancer from elimination via a real-time vote using Twitter. Allowances have been made for fans not viewing the show live during the East Coast or Central Time Zone broadcast.
Tomorrow night, following the regular edition of SYTYCD, the show will celebrate ten years on the air with a one-hour special that will feature live performances by some of the show’s favorite dancers and choreographers. For details, follow the jump.

The annual Critics’ Choice Awards were given out last night and there were a number of surprises like no nomination for Tatiana Maslany this year, and awards for FX shows that come a bit later than maybe they should have, just for two.
It was a light year for broadcast TV once again – only three awards to network shows, but basic cable did better than okay with eight. Online productions nabbed as many awards as broadcast. Hmmmm…

On the unscripted side are returning shows Masterchef (May 20), Are You smarter Than a 5th Grade? (May 26), So You Think You Can Dance (June 1st) and BOOM! (June 25th) – a new trivia challenge/quiz show/comedy series hosted by comedian Tom Papa.

So You Think You Can Dance returns for its twelfth season next summer – with a new twist to intensify the competition: Stage vs. Street.
Competitors will be placed in two teams: Stage – those trained in styles such as contemporary, ballet, jazz or tap – and Street – hopefuls skilled in hip-hop, animation or breaking.

Here’s something fun for a boring movie Friday morning. Katie Holmes was on the show So You Think You Can Dance (a show I don’t watch) and she’s pretty good. I don’t understand the knee jerk hatred people have for Tom and Katie other than the fact everyone hates Scientology and think it’s a “fake” religion. I think all religion is fake and goofy, if it helps people live better, caring lives, I say live and let live.
