Safe Kids Worldwide works to help prevent childhood injuries – the number one cause of child deaths in America. Throughout April, there will be Safe Kids events – sponsored by Nationwide and bringing together families, celebrities and donors – to raise awareness and funds to help prevent those injuries.
Sharon Stone and Drew Barrymore are the celebrity co-chairs of Safe Kids Worldwide and they will be joined by such names as Mark Wahlberg, Tyler Perry, James Caan, Scott Caan, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, as Safe Kids Celebrity Heroes, in their efforts.
The Safe Kids Day fundraising event will be held on Sunday, April 26th at The Lot in Los Angeles.
Sharon Stone will co-star as Vice-President Natalie Maccabee, America’s first female VPOTUS – and commander of a secret agent who is so secret that even the President doesn’t know of his existence, Agent X. That agent is John Case, played by Jeff Hephner, who handles assignments that involve national security, global crises and problems within the ‘palaces of intrigue of Washington DC.
Gerald McRaney also stars – as Chief Steward of the Vice-President’s mansion and keeper of secrets. It is he who introduces Maccabee to Case, the current Agent X.
TNT has ordered ten episodes of Agent to debut in the second half of 2015. The pilot was written by William Blake Herron and directed by Peter O’Fallon. Further details follow the jump.
Guess what? The role of Vice-President is more than a mostly ceremonial position – it’s a role that is of vital importance to the security and well-being of America! TNT today announced that Sharon Stone has been signed to play Vice-President Natalie Maccabee in Agent X, a pilot with a terrific concept at its core. Maccabee ran for Vice-President in her late husband’s place and won. Initially fearing a mostly ceremonial role, she discovers that, along with her Chief Steward and a mysterious secret operative dubbed Agent X, she is expected to protect the Constitution in times of great crisis.
Agent X (a working title that I hope they decide to keep) is written by William Blake Herron (The Bourne Identity), which immediately gives it some cachet – and makes it of interest to everyone who loves a good espionage tale. For more, follow the jump to check out the press release.
