HDNET Scares Up 16-Film Halloween Schedule!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Psycho, Twelve Monkeys, The Vanishing – these are just a quarter of the 16 sci-fi, suspense, and slasher classics that HDNET has lined up for the Halloween weekend.

The weekend will open with the Sci-Fi Block on Saturday, October 29th with Serenity (7/6C); next up is the Serial Killer Sunday block, which opens with The Vanishing (7:20/6:20C), and closes with the Manic Monday Block, which kicks in with Psycho (7:15/6:15C).

Serenity Heads Dark Horse’s FBCD Special!

Browncoats everywhere will be heading to their local purveyor of fine sequential art storytelling on Free Comic Book Day this year – Serenity is the cover feature in Dark Horse Comics’ FCBD offering.

Joining Serenity in the annual free comic will be an advance peek into Dark Horse’s upcoming Aliens: Defiance series (in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of James Cameron’s Aliens) and a lesson learned that Hellboy is only now willing to share.

Dark Horse’s Free Comic Book Day gold offering will be in stores on May 7, 2016. Follow the jump for further details.

Serenity Lives!

Browncoats rejoice! Dark Horse Comics has announced Serenity: Firefly Class 03-K64—Leaves on the Wind – a canonical follow-up to Joss Whedon’s big damn movie, Serenity, written by Zack Whedon and with artwork by Georges Jeanty.

Mal Reynolds and the crew of the Serenity exposed the Alliance’s crimes against humanity. Now they have to deal with the consequences of that action. Serenity: Firefly Class 03-K64—Leaves on the Wind is a six-issue limited series that will hit the shelves of comics shops on January 29, 2014. Check out the press release after the jump.

Dark Horse Comics Asks Where’s Serenity? Answers To Follow…

Joss Whedon’s sci-fi western, Firefly – and its filmic follow-up, Serenity – spawned an incredibly devoted following. Dark Horse Comics has kept the Browncoat spirit alive with new adventures and related collectibles and will continue to do so – hints about their plans will be revealed to followers of #wheresserenity on their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.
