In 1982 CBS began airing the TV police drama T.J. Hooker, which starred William Shatner as tough-as-nails veteran police officer Sgt. T.J. Hooker, who rode the beat with his rookie partner Vince Romano played by Adrien Zmed. They were joined by sexy officer Stacy Sheridan played by Heather Locklear and James Darren who played officer Jim Corrigan.
Earlier this week plans were announced by T. J. Hooker creator Rick Husky to fast forward his 80’s crime drama into a big screen action comedy. No casting for the movie has been announced yet and no word on whether William Shatner will be involved. However the movie production company is currently in talks with Chuck Russell (The Scorpion King) to come on board for director duties and the writing partners of Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson (Wild Wild West, Tremors) will be in charge of the script for the T. J. Hooker movie.
No production date is set.
