Disney’s Alice Sequel Gets Underway!

Disney’s Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass has gotten underway with an all-star cast (Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Rhys Ifans) under the direction of James Bobin (The Muppets, The Muppets Most Wanted).

This time, the journey to Underland is also a trip back in time. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass will take us back down the rabbit hole on May 27, 2016. For more details, follow the jump.

Spider-Man Villain Becomes Sherlock’s Older Brother!

Rhys Ifans, best known of late for his role as Dr. Curt Connors in The Amazing Spider-man, has been cast as Sherlock Holmes’ older, smarter brother Mycroft on CBS’ hit series elementary. The role is a recurring one and Mycroft will make his debut in the season two premiere, letting Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) stay at his new home – 221B Baker Street.

Say what you will about Nick Willing’s work in miniseries, they’re always something different. In Neverland [Syfy, Sunday, December 4th/Monday, December 5th, 9/8C], Willing takes a remarkable cast [Rhys Ifans, Charlie Rowe, Anna Friel, Bob Hoskins…] and tells the tale of how Peter and the Lost Boys came to be in Neverland; how a Fagin-like Jimmy became the pirate Captain Hook, and how Neverland became inhabited by pirates, Indians and fairies.
