Teen Groundhog Day Trailer: Before I Fall!

There’s something about a time loop (Groundhog Day) story that makes even the most clichéd situations fascinating.

In Before I Fall it’s Samantha Kingston who finds herself reliving one day over and over – possibly the last day of her life!

Before I Fall opens on March 3rd. Check out the trailer after the break.

Nuts to the Power Trailer: The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature!

Surly Squirrel returns this summer in a sequel that’s really unnecessary. The (unjustly) much maligned – first film had a manic Tex Avery-like energy and the audience I saw it with was thoroughly engaged throughout.

Even with key players – Will Arnett, Katherine Heigl and Maya Rudolph – back for the sequel, it seems just as odd as the original, so I’m hoping it will also be unexpected fun.

The first trailer isn’t terrible. Check it our after the break. The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature opens on August 18th.

Groundhog Day YA-Style Trailer: Before I Fall!

I don’t know what it is about Groundhog Day/time loop stories, but they almost always turn out to be entertaining – even on less than wonderful TV shows, the Groundhog Day ep will usually work.

Maybe it’s just being open to infinite possibilities that does the trick.

Whatever the case, Before I Fall – based on the bestselling Lauren Oliver YA novel – intrigues me. You can check out the trailer, after the jump, to see why.

Whistleblowing Trailer: Snowden!

Whistleblower? Traitor? Edward Snowden has been called both – and a lot of other things besides.

Now Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Snowden in Oliver Stone’s film of the same name – putting Snowden’s story out into the world in a way that only Stone could have done. Check out the first trailer for Snowden after the break. Snowden opens on September 16th.

Sloppily Metaphorical Teaser: David Brent: Life on the Road!

The highly regarded (by himself) David Brent is back! The subject of the BBC2 ‘documentary’ The Office has moved on and is about to take his rightful place in the annals of rock & roll.

David Brent: Life on the Road has a trailer that’s as cringeworthily funny as you might expect – see for yourself, after the break. David Brent: Life on the Road opens in the UK on August 19th and it’s only a matter of time before Brent embarks on his North american tour.

Cumin to UK cinemas August 19, 2016

Directed, written by and starring Ricky Gervais, “DAVID BRENT: LIFE ON THE ROAD” is a feature length film which sees a documentary crew catching up with David Brent twelve years on from the mockumentary ‘The Office’. Brent is now a travelling salesman, chasing his dream of rock stardom by self-financing a UK tour with his band, ‘Foregone Conclusion’.

Rock the Kasbah: Rags To Better Rags Story!

In Rock the Kasbah, two-bit talent agent Richie Lanz finds himself abandoned by his only client in Afghanistan before finding that one great talent that might just save his career – if not his life.

Despite being a very traditional seeming plot, Rock the Kasbah provides a few fresh riffs and lets Kate Hudson be very good for the first time in a long while.
