So You Think You Can Dance Gets Season 15 Order!

FOX has ordered a fifteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance.

Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens, and Host Cat Deeley return and auditions will be held in New York and Los Angeles for dancers between 18-30.

SYTYCD will premiere this summer.

So You Think You Can Dance Returns with New Age Wrinkle!

FOX has ordered a 14th season of So You Think You Dance – and like last season, there’s an age wrinkle.

For season 14, all dancers must be between the ages of 18-30 – they must be no younger than 18, nor older than 30, as of their first day of auditions. Auditions will be held in New York and Los Angeles.

Abdul + Derulo = Full Judges’ Table On So You Think You Can Dance!

SYTYCD - Paula Abdul - Nino Munoz

Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo are filling the vacancies at the SYTYCD judges’ table joining Nigel Lythgoe for the competition’s 12th season. Cat Deely returns as host.

Auditions begin in New York on January 24th, Dallas, Saturday, Feb. 14; Detroit, Sunday, Feb. 22; Memphis, Sunday, March 8; and Los Angeles, Sunday, March 15.

So You Think You Can Dance: Stage vs. Street!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. logo

So You Think You Can Dance returns for its twelfth season next summer – with a new twist to intensify the competition: Stage vs. Street.

Competitors will be placed in two teams: Stage – those trained in styles such as contemporary, ballet, jazz or tap – and Street – hopefuls skilled in hip-hop, animation or breaking.

Idol Executive Producer Amazed By Ratings Talk!

Nigel Lythgoe, creator and executive producer of American Idol [Fox, Wednesdays/Thursdays, 8/7C], finds himself amused and baffled by talk of the show’s ratings slippage – a subject he was happy to fold forth on when he spoke with a group of journalists/bloggers last week.

He was also willing to talk about the competition, why he thinks Idol is still the top singing competition series on television and his hope that Ryan Seacrest will stay with the show in seasons to come.
