For the first time ever Scorpion, Sub-Zero and the Mortal Kombat warriors battle with Batman, Superman and other popular DC Universe Super Heroes. The folks at Midway release some new tasty screens from their upcoming Sandbox game This is Vegas. Midway wants this game to be basically GTA Vegas. Personally, I’m not a fan of Sandbox games, I need my hand held. It’s looking pretty good. Take a look at the screens and press release after the break.

I love Wrestling Games, smacking people with a chair to the head is ALWAYS fun. But THQ has had a virtual monopoly on the genre with it’s WWE titles for several years now and the quality of the titles are getting progressively worse. Maybe with Midway entering the field with their TNA Impact! Title THQ will do better. Midway’s entry is looking better and better, they just released some new screenshots and it looks like the game is coming along nicely. I’m curious to see the game play mechanics. And word of advice to Midway – make sure we can turn off all of those annoying entrance videos and improve the load times. You do that and you’ll have THQ’s Smackdown Vs. Raw series beat.

It had to happen at some point, how many games are set in Vegas, or Vegas clones? But none have let us actually be “in” Vegas and hang out in “Vegas,” just race through, or do some car jackings. Midway games latest is actually going to let us “experience” Vegas, that is, if you believe the Press Release. The initial screenshots look gorgeous.
