Hulu has announced that it has greenlit a long-form comedy series from Rocket Jump, creators of the hit web series Video Game High School, in partnership with Lionsgate Television.
The new series will ‘expand upon the global success of Freddie Wong and RocketJump’s short films. Each half-hour episode of the series will chronicle the filmmaking behind RocketJump’s newest short. The eight full episodes will be released exclusively on Hulu on a weekly basis and the newly-created shorts will premiere exclusively on Hulu as well.’
NBC has greenlit a new four-hour adaptation of Ira Levin’s bestselling novel Rosemary’ Baby – which Roman Polanski famously turned into a hit movie. Casting will begin immediately and production is to begin in January in Paris.
The script will be written by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Winchell) and James wong (American Horror Story, The X-Files) for Lionsgate Television. Oscar and Emmy-winner Agnieszka Holland (Europa, Europa, Treme) will direct.
