After a couple of seasons of less than enthralling soap, Grey’s Anatomy [ABC, Thursdays, 9/8C] regained its footing last year and, in this season’s two-hour premiere, it continues to move forward with style, substance and fun.
For the first time in its twenty-five year history, Pixar is producing a film with a strong female lead – Brave, due for release on June 22, 2012.
The film, which has an all-star cast, follows the story of Scottish Princess Merida [voiced by Kelly Macdonald], whose decision to forsake her royal heritage to become an archer inadvertently places her father’s kingdom at risk. It’s a bit darker and edgier than Pixar’s usual fare, as you can see in the film’s first teaser trailer following the jump.
When Disney/Pixar sends you concept art from an upcoming film, you pretty much have to take a good look at it. When it comes from a story that takes place in a Celtic region – like the Scottish Highlands, here – and it looks as cool as this, well, you’ve just got to share.
