BBC America Greenlights Intruders–Series About Seeking Immortality!

BBC America has ordered the new original scripted series Intruders – which follows a secret society devoted to becoming immortal by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. The series comes from Glen Wong, of The X-Files fame, who pwrote the script based on the Michael Marshall Smith novel.

The eight-episode series, executive produced by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner, is set to begin production in 2014 and will be distributed globally by BBC Worldwide. Check out the press release after the jump.

TELEVISION: American ‘Torchwood’ Coming?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is developing a stateside version of the U.K. hit series Torchwood.

Unlike Fox’s unsuccessful attempt to create an American version of Doctor Who, the network plans to involve the Original, U.K. production’s team – with original series creator Russell Davies writing the script.
