Netflix has released the teaser trailer for Marvel’s The Punisher that was tagged onto the conclusion of season one of The Defenders.

It’s an announcement trailer in the sense that it announces the series is coming – but not in the sense that there’s a fixed release date.

Images flash around a hard-faced Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) as he wields a sledgehammer to an intriguing final effect.

The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal – who was also a standout in David Ayers’ Fury – is taking on the skull-shirted vigilante Frank ‘The Punisher’ Castle in season two of Netflix’s Daredevil.

TNT Goes Noir for Frank Darabont’s Mob City!

One of the enduring film noir characters is the hard-boiled detective. Frank Darabont’s three-week event series Mob City (TNT, Wednesdays, 10/9C) is centered on a hard-boiled detective who manages to be both a lone wolf and a cop. It’s an intriguing variation – and Mob City is an intriguing series if such things can be judged by the two-hour premiere, A Guy Walks into a Bar/Reason to Kill a Man.
