On Hayao Miyazaki’s birthday, GKIDS and Fathom Events will celebrate by bringing the acclaimed director’s masterpiece, Princess Mononke, back to select American theaters for two nights: January 5, 2017 (with English dubbed) and January 9, 2017 (in the original Japanese with English subtitles).
The 2016 Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Return of Doctor Mysterioso, will have a two-night theatrical run – featuring exclusive bonus features – on December 27 & 29.
Doctor Who: The Return of Doctor Mysterioso features the Whovian take on superheroes and will air on BBC America on christmas Day – but the theatrical run will include featurettes A New Kind of Superhero and Doctor Who Extra.

The long lost Doctor Who six-part series – recreated in animated form based on original audio, surviving photos and film clips – will be making a one-night only theatrical appearance on Monday, November 14 (7 pm local time).

The Season Eight premiere of Doctor Who, Deep Breath, introducing Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor in his first full-length adventure, will receive a limited theatrical premiere. Helping the new doctor adjust are old friends, Madame Vastra and her lovely wife, Jenny.

As part of The Twelfth Doctor’s debut adventure, superfan and nerd extraordinaire Chris Hardwick will host Doctor Who: Live-Pre-Show at 7:30pm ET and Doctor Who: After Who Live following the premiere on BBC America’s new series, Intruders, on August 25th.
Leading up to the Season Eight premiere, BBC America will air a series of Doctor Who-related specials: Doctor Who: The Ultimate Companion an Real History of Science Fiction: Time (Saturday, August 16th), and Doctor Who: The Ultimate Timelord (Monday August 18th). As well, starting August 6th, fans can vote for their favorite Doctor Who episodes with the top selections of this ‘Make Your Own Sunday poll will be included in a marathon on Sunday, August 24th. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods is the first Dragon Ball Z feature film in 17 years – and FUNimation and Screenvision are opening it in theaters across the U.S. and Canada for a four-day run, August 5-7, 9. On August 5th and 6th, Fathom Events will bring an additional 350 U.S. theaters onboard. In total, more than 800 will run Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods over the four days.
