LEGO® Star Wars: All-Stars,” a new animated adventure series that spans all Star Wars eras, will debut beginning Monday, Ocotber 29th, on Disney XD YouTube and DisneyNOW.
Comprised of eight shorts and four half-hour episodes, the series features LEGO versions of the fresh faces of the Star Wars galaxy alongside iconic heroes including Kylo Ren, R2-D2, Young Han, Chewie, Young Lando, BB-8 and General Leia.
Disney XD’s Big Hero 6 launches with the primetime TV movie Baymax Returns on Monday, November 20th (8/7C).
Set in the fictional city of San Fransokyo, “Baymax Returns” explores the moment after Hiro believes that his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax is lost in the portal forever and discovers the chip his brother Tadashi designed to create Baymax.
Big Hero 6: The Series will then premiere in early 2018.
Disney will debut D|XP, a daily summer programming block dedicated to the world of gaming, Saturday, July 15 (9:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m. EDT), on Disney XD.
D|XP will feature original programming produced by Disney Digital Network via its gaming editorial voice Polaris and Digomind Productions including Polaris Primetime, a weekly one-hour playthrough gaming and variety show; Parker Plays hosted by Parker Coppins, star of the popular YouTube gaming channel ParkerGames, and Polaris: Player Select, featuring other popular gaming personalities.
Disney’s new DuckTales adventures will debut as a one-hour movie on Saturday, August 12th (when it will run for 24 consecutive hours beginning at midnight/11C) before premiering as a series on Sunday, September 23rd.
The premise finds Donal Duck taking his nephews – Huey, Dewey and Louie – to visit their reclusive great-uncle Scrooge McDuck. Their visit to McDuck Manor leads them to learn about long-kept family secrets.
Additionally, a DuckTales: All Ducked Out Avatar Creator will debut in July on the Disney XD App and Disney LOL.
While Disney XD makes wait until fall for the return of Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, the network will make that wait just a wee bit more tolerable by premiering Star vs. The Forces of Evil: The Battle for Mewni on Saturday, July 15th (11am/10C, 2/1C), 7/6C).
The two-hour event finds Star returning to her home dimension of Mewni where she discovers that magic is disappearing throughout the kingdom.
Lin-Manuel Miranda (Broadway’s “Hamilton,” Disney’s “Moana”) has joined the voice cast of the new “DuckTales” series debuting this summer on Disney XD.
He will provide the voice of fan-favorite character Gizmoduck, a Duckburg hero whose true identity is Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, a brilliant young intern working for Scrooge McDuck’s personal mad scientist, Gyro Gearloose.
The trailer for the fourth and final season of Star Wars Rebels was premiered today at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando.
