The Equalizer Comes To 4K Ultra HD!

Sony Home Video is releasing Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer on 4K Ultra HD in time for fans to watch it in the best possible home video format before checking out its sequel The Equalizer 2 (also directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington).

The 4K release features five never-before-seen deleted scenes (featuring McCall’s Epilogue teasing The Equalizer 2) and six new featurettes.

The 4K edition of The Equalizer will be in stores on July 10th.

Roman J. Israel, Esq. Coming to Home Video!

The Magnificent Seven Gets 4K Ultra HD Release!

Antoine Fuqua’s remake of the classic western The Magnificent Seven is coming to home video and videophiles will pleased to see that the home video release will include a 4K Ultra HD package.

The story of seven hired guns who contract to protect a small town from an avaricious mining baron features an all-star cast that includes Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

The home video release encompasses 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and DVD formats and will be in stores on December 20th. Read on for a more detailed synopsis and list of features for each format.

Fenced In, Fenced Out Trailer: Fences!

Fences is the story of a one-time promising baseball player, now working as a Pittsburgh garbage collector, and the complicated relationships with his wife, son, and friends.

Denzel Washington and Viola Davis reprise their Tony Award-winning performances in the film – directed by Washington. The film’s ensemble cast includes Stephen Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, Jovan Adepo and Saniyya Sydney.

The Magnificent Seven – Fun But Not Quite Magnificent!

Antoine Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven is not the movie that the John Sturges one was and that’s okay. Fuqua has a lot of fun playing with the clichés/tropes of westerns and succeeds in producing a fun movie that is most notable for having a uniquely integrated Seven – and least notable for having a villain who is an unmodulated black hole of evil that sucks the energy out of almost every scene he’s in.
