VIZ Media Releases Death Note All-In-One Edition!

VIZ Media is releasing an omnibus-style collection of the classic manga Death Note.

Death Note All-In-One Edition includes the complete Death Note saga – the battle of wits between Light Yagami and the mysterious prodigy detective L – plus an epilogue that has  never been published in English.

Voice of a Shinigami (Death God) Video: Death Note!

One of the most compelling elements of Netflix’s Death Note movie is the shinigami (death god), Ryuk.

Voiced by Willem Dafoe, he is a character that picks its spots and is genuinely scary.

Netflix has released a new video in which Dafoe, director Adam Wingard and the film’s leads – Nat Wolff and Margaret Qaulley – talk about Ryuk.

Death Note Does Not Travel Well!

Trying to adapt a 2400-page manga into a 101-minute movie is what used to be called a mug’s game – a task so remarkably daunting/stupid that it wasn’t even worth considering.

Adam Wingard’s Death Note is a bit better than that, but not much.

Light’s Line Clip: Death Note!

Based on the famous Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows Light Turner (Nat Wolff) a high school student who comes across a supernatural notebook, realizing it holds within it a great power; if the owner inscribes someone’s name into it while picturing their face, he or she will die. Intoxicated with his new godlike abilities, the young man begins to kill those he deems unworthy of life.

Netflix has released a clip featuring the first meeting of Light and prodigy detective L (Lakeith Stanfield).

Death Premieres on Netflix – and in select theaters in Los Angels and New York – on August 25th.

Meet Mia – Netflix Releases Final Death Note Character Poster!

Saved the best for last…meet Mia Sutton from the Netflix original film Death Note.

Mia (Margaret Qualley, The Leftovers) is the high school girlfriend of Light Turner (Nat Wolff, above), who embarks on a crusade alongside him to rid the world of evil with the ‘Death Note.’

Death Note premieres on August 25th.

Meet L – Netflix Releases Death Note Character Poster!

When Light Turner discovers the note that enables him to kill by entering his victims’ names into it, it’s L, a mysterious detective prodigy who is set to apprehend him.

On June 29th, Netflix released the character poster for Ryuk (above), an apple-eating demon who comes with the killer notebook. Today, the streamer has released a character poster for L.

Death Note will premiere on Friday, August 25th.

What if you could decide who lives or dies?

Netflix has released the first trailer for Death Note and it looks pretty cool. Death Note stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley and Lakeith Stanfield. It premieres on Netflix on August 25th.

VIZ Media To Showcase Live-Action Death Note at Licensing Expo 2017!

VIZ Media will be showcasing Netflix’s live-action Death Note film –  based on the classic Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata – at Licensing Expo 2017. The film will premiere on Netflix on August 25th.

VIZ will also be highlighting some of their flagship titles, including: Death Note (anime), Naruto Shippenden, One-Punch Man (an outrageously funny superhero satire!), Hunter X Hunter, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Bleach.
