Netflix has released the first trailer for Death Note and it looks pretty cool. Death Note stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley and Lakeith Stanfield. It premieres on Netflix on August 25th.
VIZ Media will be showcasing Netflix’s live-action Death Note film – based on the classic Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata – at Licensing Expo 2017. The film will premiere on Netflix on August 25th.
VIZ will also be highlighting some of their flagship titles, including: Death Note (anime), Naruto Shippenden, One-Punch Man (an outrageously funny superhero satire!), Hunter X Hunter, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Bleach.
Tubi TV has added the complete run of VIZ Media’s anime series Bleach (all 366 episodes) to its slate of anime programming – joining VIZ Media’s Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Bakuman and Naruto – among others.
Tubi will stream the series in its original Japanese with English subtitles.

Debuting on My 3rd, Blanc et Noir: Takeshi Obata Illustrations is a limited edition collection of his work in an oversized, slipcased, hardcover volume that will be limited to 10,000 copies. It will be published under the Art of Shonen Jump imprint and will sell for $99 U.S./$119 Can.

Takeshi Obata, artist of acclaimed manga series Death Note and All You Need Is Kill (among others), has been confirmed to appear at New York Comic con for panels and a signing – as well as additional appearances around New York.
Obata will be a part of two panels – as part of VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump panel on Thursday, October 9th on Friday, October 10th for a panel for an overview of his work. On the evening of the 9th, he will make an exclusive signing appearance at Javits Center, home of the 2014 New York Comic Con.
As part of ReedPOP’s New York Super Week he waill also appear at Kinokuniya Book Store on the 10th and Barnes & Noble on Saturday October 11th. For further details follow the jump.
