A Stupid and Futile Gesture is the story of Doug Kenney, the creator of National Lampoon.
The new trailer features Martin Mull – as Modern Doug – noting that the actors playing several key roles don’t look much like the originals – in that dry, slightly nasty manner that Mull has perfected over decades of comedy genius.

The roster of big, medium and small names who made a splash in comedy, TV and film following their appearance in Wet Hot American Summer is pretty much legendary. If you don’t believe me, you haven’t seen the movie.

Judd Apatow may not have directed Wanderlust [that would be David Wain], but his instincts as a producer remain pretty much flawless. Like last year’s Bridesmaids, the trailers for Wanderlust really don’t begin to hint at how funny it really is.
