After the surprising success (audience and critical reaction), Wayward Pines is returning to FOX with a new leading man and an even sterner civic government.
Jason Patric’s character is the new guy in town – and he wants to know where are we? Season 2 also features a number of returnees – Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo and Terrence Howard among them – and, of course, the abbies. Wayward Pines returns on Wednesday, May 25th (8/7C). Check out the creepy trailer after the break.
If you’ve been watching Wayward Pines (FOX, Thursdays, 9/8C), you know what a leap the show took last week. If you haven’t been watching, you’re missing one weird and wonderfully odd show. What started off as some hybrid of The Prisoner and Twin Peaks suddenly became something else entirely.
With Wayward Pines pre-empted this week, FOX has released a ‘Five Episodes In Five Minutes’ video to refresh your memories (if you’ve been watching) and to give new viewers the chance to check the show out and be brought up to date before the next new episode on Thursday, June 25th. Check it out after the jump.
In its first ever global preview event, FOX is making the series premiere of M. Night Shyamalan’s Wayward Pines available for free via pay-TV providers FOX NOW and FOX.com, domestically, and Facebook worldwide on pay-tv providers FOX Play and International FOX.com pages.
The eerie series follows a Secret Service agent (Matt Dillon) as he tries to investigate the disappearance of two federal agents in the seemingly bucolic town of Wayward Pines, ID.
A Secret Service agent, looking for two agents who have gone missing, finds himself in Wayward Pines – seemingly a perfect small town. Perfect, that is, until he discovers he can’t leave – and receives an ominous phone call…
Wayward Pines stars Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino and Terrence Howard. It premiers on FOX on Thursday, May 14th (9/8C). Check out the twisted new trailer following the jump.
What if a massive earthquake happened along the San Andreas Fault?
That’s the premise of the epic Dwayne Johnson disaster flick San Andreas, which finds Ray (Johnson) and his estranged wife, Emma (Carla Gugino), trying to get from Los Angeles to San Francisco to find their daughter, Blake (Alexandra Daddario).
San Andreas opens on May 29, 2015. Check out the first trailer for San Andreas after the jump.
If you’re looking for a movie where scantily clad babes fight, shoot and blow stuff up real good, then you’ll probably love Sucker Punch. If you’re looking for story, characters, or meaning, you’ll find it pretty thin.
Faster opens with a glowering Driver [Dwayne Johnson] being cuffed and escorted to the warden’s office. From Driver’s perspective, the warden’s words slowly fade away into nothingness. Once out of prison, he begins to run, pausing to pick up a car [a pimped out Chevelle SS] and stopping only as long as it takes to kill people. Which people? In this fast-paced, efficient vengeance flick, that information is doled out by a judicious use of flashbacks, photos and, occasionally [very little] dialogue.
The first Sucker Punch trailer was a dazzling array of images. The new one suggests that director Zack Snyder has something of a plot going on – something about imagination setting you free – but there’s still more dazzling images and an amazing cast of gorgeous women:Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Carla Gugino. Plus, Scott Glenn as a mystic/mentor type.
