Syfy has greenlighted the two-hour pilot, Rewind – a thriller revolving around a team of military field operatives and civilian scientists who must use untested technology to travel back in time to alter past events in order to change the future and avoid a devastating terrorist attack.

Sounds a bit like 7 Days, to me – but it’s from BermanBraun, the guys who gave us the much better than expected Alphas, so I’m curious to see what they do with the idea. Since it’s a two-hour pilot, even if it doesn’t go to series, there’s a very real chance Syfy will air it anyway – like they did with the fun superhero riff, Three Inches, a few weeks back.

Check out the full press release following the jump.

Battle Royale Complete DVD Battle Royale Complete Combo Pack  Battle Royale Blu-ray

Battle Royale and Battle Royale II are among the most brutally poetic films ever made. Often copied [you can see Battle Royale echoed in the story of The Hunger Games, for example], but never equaled, the films have been banned in many markets, but fans keep finding ways to get them. On March 20, 2012, Anchor Bay Entertainment will release both films – along with a hoard of bonus features – on DVD and Blu-ray, across North America.

howardstern

NBC announced this morning that shock jock Howard Stern will be the new judge for season seven of America’s Got Talent – for which, the show will move to New York. Even I, who loathe reality TV and the seemingly infinite number of ‘talent’ shows out there, might just have to check this out when the show returns. Might be fun.

The press release follows the jump.
