Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment Enters Partnership
With Procter and Gamble’s Swiffer Brand As Part Of Cross-Promotional Marketing Campaign for DVD Release

Culver City, Ca. (1/20/03) –  Revolution Studios’ blockbuster romantic comedy, Maid In Manhattan, will be released on DVD and videocassette from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment (CTHE) on March 25, 2003. The film, which is still in theatrical release having made more than $85 million to date, stars international superstar Jennifer Lopez (“The Wedding Planner,” “Out Of Sight”) and Ralph Fiennes (“Red Dragon,” “The English Patient”).

To help ensure massive exposure for the DVD, the extensive multi- million dollar marketing campaign includes a promotional partnership program with Procter and Gamble’s (P&G) recently launched Swiffer® Dusters.

Maid In Manhattan
Maid in Manhattan is the story of Marisa Ventura (Lopez), a single mother born and bred in the boroughs of New York City who works as a maid in a premiere, luxury hotel in Manhattan. A street smart, beautiful young woman, Marisa is not initially motivated to rise to greater things until she is given the chance for a management position. But the future has some obstacles in store for her.  By a twist of fate and mistaken identity, she meets Christopher Marshall (Fiennes), a handsome heir to a political dynasty who believes that she is a wealthy guest at the hotel. Fate steps in and throws the unlikely pair together for a series of comical mix-ups and romantic interludes. But when Marisa’s true identity is revealed, the two find that they are worlds apart ? even though the distance separating them is just a subway ride between Manhattan and the Bronx.

Cross-Promotion with Procter & Gamble’s Swiffer Dusters
As part of the DVD marketing campaign, CTHE has entered into a partnership with P&G to promote the Maid In Manhattan DVD in conjunction with the product launch of Swiffer Dusters, the new hand- held disposable dusters that transform the way people clean.  Swiffer Dusters trap and lock more dust quickly and easily ? even in hard to reach places ? and without needing to move things around.  The partnership marks the first time in P&G’s history that a Fabric and Home Care brand has worked with a movie studio on a DVD release.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the marketing plans for the Maid in Manhattan DVD,” said Maurice Coffey, Swiffer Brand Manager.  “The movie’s transformation of superstar Jennifer Lopez’s character from maid to Manhattan socialite parallels Swiffer Dusters’ ability to revolutionize the way people dust.”

The cross-promotion includes a national Direct Response TV advertising campaign, an FSI, several consumer coupon offers, good towards $1 off Swiffer products and $2 off the Maid in Manhattan DVD, on-pack, on-display and instant rebate coupons redeemable at participating stores.  CTHE and P&G will cross-promote the coupon offers on each other’s POP.  In addition, there will be on-line exposure.
