Juno Comes to Blu-Ray

My favorite movie from last year Juno is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on March 19. The cool thing is, it’ll include Fox’s cool new Digital Copy thing – that will let you copy the movie to your iPod.  Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) and featuring an all-star ensemble cast, the Juno DVD is loaded with special features including commentary by Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody, 11 deleted scenes, a gag reel, screen tests and more. Additionally, Juno releases as a two-disc DVD and is also available day-and-date in high-def format on Blu-ray Disc, featuring more hilarious extras and Fox’s new Digital Copy, allowing viewers to quickly and easily transfer a digital version of the film to a Mac® or Windows-based PC computer and then to select portable video devices including an iPod® and/or iPhone™.

Juno (Page) is anything but the typical teenager with her offbeat personality, quick wit . . . and unplanned pregnancy.  When one afternoon of boredom leads her into the arms of her best friend, Juno begins a hilarious nine-month journey of self-discovery into adulthood.  Supported by a fantastic cast including Page, Michael Cera (Superbad, “Arrested Development”), Jason Bateman (“Arrested Development,” The Kingdom), Jennifer Garner (The Kingdom, “Alias”), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man 3, Thank You For Smoking) and Allison Janney (Hairspray, “The West Wing”), Juno “reminds you of why you fell in love with movies in the first place” (The Hollywood Reporter).

The single-disc DVD is available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S./$43.48 Canada.  The standard two-disc DVD will be available for $34.98 U.S./$45.98 Canada and the Blu-Ray Disc will be available for $39.98 U.S./$49.98 Canada.  Prebook is March 19.  They want to charge $40 for this on Blu-Ray? Are they crazy?! And no Profile 1.1 support? Features include –

  1. I have yet to see this movie, but everyone tells me it’s great. I think I might have to wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray

  2. Great movie, probably won’t win Best Picture, but deserves to be nominated. This director, who also made Thank You for Smoking, is on a more subtle, more impressive roll equally as strong as that of Judd Apatow.

  3. Well it did clean up last night at the Independent Spirit Awards.
