I enjoyed this movie much more on the big screen. Big-Ass-Spiders, it’s what I wanted and what I got.
Smaller spiders = me paying attention to the plot. I noticed David Arquette and Kari Wuhrer had no chemistry, and the movie wasn’t as funny as I remembered it. It’s just an ok movie.
The dvd has a less than stellar commentary. I expected a goofy Arquette on the coomentary, but he was pretty laid back. He gets a good dig in at studio execs though. Other than that the director comments a lot on the spiders, how amazing they looked, and how good the lighting was. He talks a *lot* about the lighting.
There are deleted scenes. All quite dull, including one where the characters are squashing spiders that haven’t been added yet.
And the short film “Larger than Life”, which was scarier than the movie.
