Syfy Digital Press Event

It was touch and go for a minute there, I’ll admit it, SyFy Channel pissed me off earlier this week. You see, every year the fine folks at the SyFy channel have a Digital Press tour where they invite the digital press to spend a weekend (at our own expense!) with all their network stars and executives. It’s usually a fun event, this year’s event is in Orlando Florida and will include VIP tours of Universal Studios, private parties, and they are closing down The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for us to have a little private time. But they screwed me on my hotel reservations and I cussed them out and threatened not to attend – but the allure of private tours of Universal and a private party at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter got the better of me, we have smoothed everything out and now your fearless leader is jetting off to the place where bad things almost always happen – that cursed place known as Orlando, Fl – if I die an early, premature death in some freak accident, I guarantee it’ll be in Fla.  Wish me luck!

Here it is, the thing I just know Eclipsemagazine readers have been waiting for: part two of  the shout outs from of the stars of NBC Television!

As I said in part one, your roving reporter attended the Saturday night NBC Network Party at the 2011 SDCC. While there, I had a chance to mix and mingle with some of the brightest talents on the NBC Television Network. Even though I couldn’t take all of the readers of Eclipsemagazine with me to the party, and we would have had a blast if I could have, some of the stars of NBC series’ where more than happy to give a shout out to all of you.

In part two of this article, the shout outs come from four of the stars of the new NBC series ‘Grimm’, which will be airing on Friday nights at 9 PM EST starting this Fall.

Grimm-NBC

The 2011 San Diego Comic Con is fast approaching and already networks are sending out advanced information about their upcoming action and scifi related series. Today NBC Universal released an announcement about their plans to promote their new series GRIMM at the upcoming 2011 San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 23rd. They will be offering Comic Con attendees an opportunity to exclusively screen the pilot episode and participate in a Q&A with the cast and creators of the upcoming fantasy series.

GRIMM, debuting on NBC this fall, is a provocative police procedural with supernatural mythology, inspired by the classic Grimm Brother’s Fairy Tales. With an original “crime-fighting meets story-telling” premise, the series promises a new world of police work where the cases have a storybook connection, but not always happily ever after.   The inventive drama hails from writers/executive producers Jim Kouf (“Angel) and David Greenwalt (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) and the producing team of Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner (‘Hot in Cleveland’) as executive producers.  Kouf and Greenwalt will join the full cast at the Comic Con premiere screening and panel including: David Giuntoli (“Turn The Beat Around”), Russell Hornsby (“Lincoln Heights”), Bitsie Tulloch (“Quarterlife”), Silas Weir Mitchell (“Prison Break”), Reggie Lee (“Persons Unknown”) and Sasha Roiz (“Caprica”). More details to be announced at a later date. Grimm” is a production of Universal Media Studios and Hazy Mills Productions.
