After a month long dry spell we get a really strange week for new Blu-ray releases. I’m going to call this the Coraline edition since everyone else is so focused on Watchmen, and I actually LOVED Coraline in the theaters, where Watchmen I simply tolerated. For starters, it’s really strong week with the Watchmen Director’s Cut DVD and Blu-ray – which is really pushing the Blu-ray format to new heights, Coraline, Prison Break, Midnight Express and Echelon Conspiracy all hitting the streets today.
But it’s strange because Warner Home Video is triple dipping with this week’s 300: The Complete Experience (Warner). This is different than the other TWO Blu-ray releases and the HD-DVD release, how? I’m thoroughly confused about the Watchmen: End is Nigh Complete Experience PS3 Game/Blu-ray Thingy. I got my copy this morning and will be running it through it’s paces over the next few days, but do I review it as a Game with the movie as “Bonus Content,” or do I review it as a Blu-ray with the game as “Bonus Content?”
