On this superstar edition of the INTERVUE, imagine yourself going to a well-known museum, let’s say the world-renowned Smithsonian Institute, to take some courses on film and then somewhere down the road in the course of life, you put all that you have learned and take it back to your hometown. This is what happened with our next guest.

A graduate of Univ. of Southern California, Variety listed him as one of the “10 Cinematographers to watch 2017”. Over the course of his career, his credits include the films Chronicle & Fantastic Four and television series Ray Donovan, Game of Thrones, and The Mandalorian. Now, he has come full circle as he brought his craft to our Nation’s Capital with the epic superheroine sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. You can see his work now on Digital and coming soon to Blu-ray and DVD on March 30th!

My fellow readers welcome to the INTERVUE, DMV’s own Matthew Jensen!

The Small Axe: Education Interview Part 1 – Sharlene Whyte

Good afternoon my friends. In this edition, we are exploring the final episode of Steve McQueen’s anthology series Small Axe.

Education is the coming of age story of 12-year-old Kingsley, a boy with a fascination for astronauts and rockets. When Kingsley is called to the Headmaster’s office for disruptive behavior in class, he is shocked to discover his transfer to a school for those with “special needs.” Distracted by working two jobs, his parents are unaware of what was an unofficial segregation policy at play, preventing many Black children from having the education they deserve until a group of West Indian women takes matters into their own hands.

This final episode premieres tonight, December 18th on Amazon Prime. In the first part of this two-part interview series, we are talking to the critically acclaimed actress who plays matriarch Agnes Smith. Let’s welcome, Sharlene Whyte!

The War with Grandpa Interviews

For today’s EMExclusive, you are in for a real treat. I got to sit down with the cast of the upcoming comedy The War with Grandpa!

Based on the award-winning book by Robert Kimmel Smith, Sixth-grader Peter is pretty much your average kid-he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war with side-splitting consequences.

To talk about this cool family film, I talk to five of the cast members: Oakes Fegley, Laura Marano, Rob Riggle, Cheech Marin and Jane Seymour!
