Disney Interactive Studio’s upcoming racing game “Split/Second,” due May 2010, sounds like it combines the best of “Death Race,” “The Fast and the Furious” and Roland Emmerich’s “2012″ into one flashy, fun, four-wheeled adventure. Today, the studio released the latest trailer, and while it doesn’t show much in terms of game play (that was evident in an eariler trailer), it does give you an idea the attention to detail that is being paid to each automobile. Oh, and it introduces the game’s high concept: that you have to drive like a bat out of hell to escape an explosive-laden metropolis as skyscrapers, ocean liners and the like come tumbling down to the road on which you’re trying to drive. The trailer looks great. The game look great. Enjoy an embed of the new trailer and circle “Split/Second” as a game to watch for next year. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/58589.html
